If you have a Star Player on your roster, you are expected to explain the "Special Rule" to your opponent. Second Season Edition has given Star Players each their own "Special Rule". **All new star players from the Second Season Edition and subsequent Spike Journals will be allowed. Also, you cannot use Igors or Apothecaries on Star Players. If both of you attempt to field the same player, then that star player has swindled you both!! Neither of you can field them. Remember: You can not have the same Star Player as your opponent. Having 10 players plus a Star or GIANT is not allowed. Note: If you are including a Star Player OR a Giant, you must have 11 players on your team BEFORE hiring them. You may purchase any other inducements for your team, including Star Players Wizards, Journeymen, Special Play cards of any kind, Mercenaries with the exception of GIANTS (first time for everything), and the Halfling Hot Pot are NOT ALLOWED. You may purchase players, rerolls, fan factor, coaches, and cheerleaders as normal with this money You are given 1,200,000 gold pieces to build your team. Illegal Procedure can be shouted but will not be penalized.Apothecaries work as described in the Rulebook. All Races in the Rulebook, Teams of Legend Document, & NAF additional.Blood Bowl Second Season (2020) Rule Set.Halflings are weak, slow, rarely able to pass and can barely catch a ball if another Halfling manages to get hold of it, but you haven’t chosen this team because they’re easy. Once it’s your turn, take advantage of your Treeman’s Throw Team-Mate skill and sit back and enjoy the spectacle of a Halfling player being lobbed straight into the opposing endzone! You will lose a few Halflings regardless of what you do, so spread them out to slow the other team down when they have the ball. After all, if you can get half a dozen players in the opposing team’s endzone, and by some miracle end up with the ball, all it takes is one of them to score that all-important goal. Halfling are too short to throw or catch, only run at half speed, and let’s admit it, they’ve got little hope of blocking anything! Most Halfling coaches make up for this lack of quality with sheer quantity.
